The Chuck Liddell-Tito Ortiz trilogy finally has a date and a venue and The Iceman broke the news himself in a recent interview with Larry King. According to Liddell, the fight will take place on Nov.24 at The Forum in Inglewood, CA via Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions and will be shown on pay-per-view.
The rivalry between Ortiz and Liddell goes back to 2004 when they fought at UFC 47, which Liddell won by knockout. The two faced each other again in 2006 at UFC 66 with the results of that fight being the same as their first bout, Liddell winning by knockout.
Liddell( 30-8 MMA), who hasn’t fought since 2010, announced back in May that he was coming out of retirement and eyeing a trilogy fight with old school rival Ortiz.
Ortiz (19-12-1 MMA) retired back in 2017 following his first-round victory over Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170.
