Pat Miletich  had a successful run in MMA , in a career that  saw him fight  38 times and spanned over 23 years. Miletich kicked off his  impressive run by winning his first 15  professional fights. and would go on to win the very first UFC  welterweight  tournament at UFC 16.  

Miletich followed up his tournament win by winning the  UFC welterweight title  at UFC Ultimate Brazil in 1998. He defended the welterweight title four times before losing  to Carlos Newton at UFC  31.

Aside from his success inside the octagon, Pat Miletich is also known as a highly successful trainer and coach, having founded Miletich Fighting Systems. This camp is considered one of the most successful in MMA history and has produced several world champions.
